The small press/private press tradition in America has contributed much to independent thought and debate in our country. From Thomas Paine’s Common Sense through the years leading to the uncivil Civil War, to the tragedies of the great 20th Century wars, small independent presses have stood apart as beacons of light in a too-often dark world. Their voices challenged the status quo and orthodox opinion. In the process they often did so with a touch of grace and class that gave readers beautiful literature to hold and admire and page through. My books, broadsides, magazine, greeting cards and pamphlets are a part of this small press tradition. I hope you will find them worth considering.
