With Kenny, It All Made Sense

With Kenny, It All Made Sense

by Michael Coughlin

Unusual people, memorable circumstances and fond recollections of my youth sometimes flood over me and leave me with an internal glow.  You probably have experienced the same thing.  Such a person in my life was a friend of mine and my younger brother who lived a couple houses down from us about sixty years back.  His name was Kenny and we regularly roamed our neighborhood searching out adventures.  One day such an experience came rushing into our lives, an event I never want to forget.  Well, when my younger brother died a few years back, I alone was left with memories of that eventful day.  I didn’t want them to disappear with me, so I wrote a pamphlet for the American Amateur Press Association detailing that long-ago day.
