My journey into letterpress printing brought many characters into my life
When I started my journey into letterpress printing, I needed the help of everyone and anything I could find. One of those who brightened my shop’s doorstep in the early days was a remarkable man named George Fosburgh. He could fix anything, he could tell you how to get around the pesky problems one sometimes encounters working the old presses. And he was generous with his time. Unfortunately, George left my life way too early, victim of a massive heart attack. I try to remember the man and what he brought to my days in this tribute.
