Letterpress: distinguished among all the printing arts.

While letterpress printing has generally been eclipsed by more modern printing technologies, it continues to confound all the naysayers who predicted the technology would be dead by now.  In fact, not only have letterpress printing and related technologies not died, they have undergone a renaissance and today they stand apart and above the others because of their ability to print things the way no other process can.

Post-letterpress days

I have watched this renaissance from the trenches, surrounded as I am by my old presses and typesetting machines.  With a smile I reveled as people rediscovered the art of the letterpress, and then one day I came upon a piece written by Lowell Bodger, I knew I had to turn part of what he wrote into this broadside.
