A divided America serves some people well

I came across an analysis by James Woods that sums up so well the division that had gnarled American temperaments and caused so many to go at each other’s throats.

Some gaily exploit the discord because doing so is essential to making this country a bitter, angry shadow of the land it once was. Words no longer represent objective reality. They have become the toys of the thought police who insist that we genuflect to their perverted vision of life. Never are we to offend or challenge them. Our duty is to submit and to apologize. But I’m tired of their clown show and their bruised egos and their self-professed victimhood.  I intend to reclaim my world and walk out of their insane asylum. That’s a choice each of us can make and if we intend to live as we choose, it’s one we will make.

As Mr. Woods wrote:

“America is not divided by race, color, gender, or sexual orientation.

“America is divided into wise people and fools.

“And fools divide themselves by race, color, gender, or sexual orientation.”
